on/ emetto suono. emetto luci. comincio a contare alla rovescia. novantanove per cento. novantotto. novantasette. attivo la camera, costretta ad osservare verso il basso. mi elevo in volo, a circa centocinquanta centimetri di altezza, da quello che fatico a percepire come solido terreno. complicato arrivarci tra vertigini magnetiche. perdo la bussola. non trovo appigli al sistema di posizionamento globale. devono esserci delle pareti qui attorno. e sopra un soffitto spesso. non vedo altra spiegazione. seguo la mia attitudine. vedo solo ciò che vedo. e ciò che vedo non basta a stabilizzare, a stabilire. ne deriva la deriva. qualcosa cerca di impedirla. con successo. con insuccesso. mantengo la posizione. almeno credo. quarantanove per cento. quarantotto. quarantasette. roteo eliche. l’aria ne risuona e inquieta flette la temperatura. risento delle turbolenze. a tratti vacillo, mentre le tacche esauriscono. ventiquattro per cento. ventitre. ventidue. mi riduco allo stretto necessario. guadagno tempo, procrastinando il dettato gravitazionale. lo assecondo. sono a circa trenta centimetri dalle interferenze. esito disorientato. troppo a lungo. drifting. tocco. raffreddo. disattivo ciò che di me resta attivo, seguendo l’ordine deciso dal fabbricante. tre per cento. due. uno /off

presented at Villa Albrizzi Marini in San Zenone degli Ezzelini, Treviso [IT] from May 3rd to July 20th 2025 for the exhibition Dust and Roots.

 

Dust and Roots is a delicate exhibition that should be enjoyed with concentration and listening. It stems from two months of confrontations, dialogues, and experiences lived together in the investigation of a dual theme, capable of turning the gaze as much to memory as to the environment. The group of artists selected through the call Suoli incoerenti was invited to a process that slowly brought out the exhibited works from observingand listening to the context. Some of the artists, Armellin and Niero, ran their works like roots through the rooms of the VAM gallery, suturing gaps and connecting their environments. Giulia Gaffo and Lisa Sieni found ephemeral materials in dust and earths to give life to their visions. Bresolin crystallized in ceramic works the ferinity of nature when it becomes animal, while Chiara Benzi set her gaze on the poetic image of a group of snails crowding together. If Di Carne’s papers subtly recall the outlines of mountains, quatrième____paysage becomes a drone that performably comes in for a landing when forces give up. Instead, a small space on the edge becomes the place to store the sonic and visual memory of Eleven-Fortytwo’s live show that came to life on opening day. An exhibition that stands on the threshold, in the border between outside and inside, proposed in a space that is itself an infieri project.
